PROBABLY THE LAST POST

Hi Guys! I'm probably the usual blog poster though all of you have the equal priviledge to post.

Was back at mac ritchie training today where I did only 5 km. During this 5km, got to say that I couldn't concentrate cause trainings fell were so different without you guys. The reserviour were all so empty. Flashes of the past surface and picture one by one to my mind.

From the first day when we first step into mac ritchie together and did T1 together, numerous time spent trying to balance on our assigned boats to the finale of the nationals.

People say that you'll start to treasure things when they leave you, true to the fact, it seemed empty without all 10 of you by my side. Trainings wasn't fun at all without people shouting, people singing during the bath session, people telling lame jokes, people rushing other people to be faster, people reminding us about test tomorrow after training, people nagging at us to keep our boats faster, people complaining how tough the training was, etc etc.

Shadows of you guys remains even you guys have left. I've come to accept that we can't turn back time and be back at those good times when we trained hard together to believe in the dream of achieving. Decemeber hols, optional trainings and the 4 day a week trainings. You guys have been a great bunch of company. Although we might not have gone through tough inhumane torture like that of NCC or other uniform grps but our grueling 4 day a week training has enough to prove of our commitment spent in the sport.

Part 1 of our JC life is already over and all that's left is the A levels- our ultimate goal of entering JC. For many of us, we learnt a hard lesson on effort. How we could have put in a little more effort during each training which could have got us a medal or a finalist position. Here's the good news, at least you dont get labelled as a "non-finalist" or a loser at canoeing. Atleast, not how people would raise their eye brows when they know you're a Sec5 or a retainee. Now for the bad news, however if you do fail your A levels, you'll be stained your entire life. Marked as a failure of A levels. That's the sad and cruel yet true reality of life, the weaker ones are crowded out in the process of competition.
Learn from mistakes which you had committed at canoeing and channelled it to your studies. How you could have spend a little more effort at training each time (How you can spend a little more effort each time you do your assessment). How you could have done those trainings in the smarter way (study smart perhaps?). How you could have prolonged your motivation and not let it die out (dont "chiong 101%" at the start of your studies?). Everyone have a huge takeaway from these short 16 months of canoeing, dont let those lessons learnt go to waste yup?

If you didnt make your name at Mac Ritchie, now you still have a chance to be put on the boards of results at the A levels 2009.

Jonneh: Dont chiong without thinking k? Not everything is as simple as getting credit for putting in the most effort. Try to think through things sometimes =). Talent cant work without hardwork. Likewise, hardwork cannot work without talent.

Jason: Dont be so blur! You should start putting away your com games to start aiming for ace. Unless you're aiming to be a professional gamer, or else there is no reason for your face to be glued to that screen.

Ric: You've got to out smart that girl yeah?

Jeremiah: Well, you still have a chance to complete that dream of shaking Ms Lai's hand and her looking at you with gleeming eyes - release of A level results.

Colin: Show them what retainee is capable of achieving.

Zhe Yar: Let's show those girls that it was a wrong decision to dump us.

Chun Kang: I know you wanted a medal badly, exchange it for a good A level cert where people will look up to.

Jun An: You can jack people back next time if they call you long face, tell them it's because you've bigger brains and can score FULL As unlike them.

Javin: Money alone cant buy everything yup? Girls like brainy and smart guys. +).

Miang Joo: I cant figure out why you're not doing well. You have everything and everything it takes to do well.

Here's our target: Atleast 3 As for the A levels.
I'm dreaming of that day when all 11 of us to go up on stage to shake Lai Lai's hand.
It has to start now, smartly, steadily and smoothly. Let's rock people.

If you're bored of studying alone, you can always call up anyone in the team. I believe all of us will be happy to meet up. You're not alone yup? =).
